This is not a feather. It is a worm!!!
  • Common name is feather duster
  • A filter feeder, using radiole to catch floating organisms like plankton
  • Live inside a tube
  • When disturbed, it quickly retreats inside the tube

This coral is uncommon because it is columnar, instead of having the shape of a flat plate.
  • Common name is cup / pagoda / scroll coral
  • Very hardy
  • Polyps extend out under the light
  • Each polyp can be fed with meaty food

Take a guess on what they are doing. (Hint: they are eating something that the snail produces ...)

  • Common name is dwarf blue legged hermit crab
  • They are totally reef safe (based on my own experience)
  • Good scavenger to add to the tank
  • Consume certain kinds of algae as well

Quadricolor entacmea

This is one of the most beautiful creatures in my reef tank. It IS neon pink (not edited by Photoshop).
  • Common name is rose anemone
  • Require bright light to survive
  • Attach to rock with its foot
  • Home for various fish / shrimps / crabs
  • Grab food with its "hands" and eat it with its month in the middle
